FUNDING GRANT REQUESTS

The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) provides behavioral health treatment services for people of all ages who have mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or developmental disabilities. Their vision is that everyone in our community has the support needed to live a healthy, fulfilling life.

The Northern Virginia Mental Health Foundation provides goods and services for people with a behavioral health condition. Our vision, similar to the vision of the Community Services Board (CSB), is that individuals in our community have the support needed to live a healthy, fulfilling life.

OUR 3 STEP PROCESS

1

Individuals in treatment at Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board, with the support of their case manager, apply for grants as a part of their treatment plan.

2

Case managers send grant requests to NVMHF.

3

NVMHF’s Board of Directors will review the request for approval

Approximately 95% of requests are approved. Grants typically range between $25-$2,000 and funding is received within 10 days of submission. â€‹

After approval, the NVMHF will contact the case manager for an update on the individual's treatment plan to track the success of the grants and initiatives. The NVMHF does not have direct contact with grant recipients.
